Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Mohamed Hamed (“we”, “us”), the developer of Sarmad. By installing or using the Sarmad app, or using this website, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Sarmad.
Your licence
When you buy Sarmad, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the app on Android devices linked to your Google account, as Google Play allows.
Your purchase includes the updates we release for the app. We may add, change or remove features over time, and we do not promise any particular future feature.
Payment and refunds
Sarmad is free to use for 14 days from the first time you open it. The trial does not ask for payment details and never charges you. When it ends, the next time you open the app you will be asked to buy it to keep using it, and until you do the app stays locked. Music that is already playing when the trial ends is not interrupted. Reinstalling the app with the same Google account does not normally restart the trial.
After the trial, Sarmad is a one-time purchase through Google Play, with no subscription. Google Play processes the payment and its refund policies apply. Within 48 hours of buying, you can usually request a refund directly in Google Play.
After that, write to us and tell us what went wrong. We review every request fairly.
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the consumer protection laws of the country where you live.
The music you generate
The music Sarmad generates is for you to listen to. You may record it for your own personal, non-commercial use, for example to listen offline in another player or to share a short clip with friends.
If you want to use it in anything commercial, such as a video you earn money from, a product, a public broadcast or a performance, please ask us first.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- copy, resell, rent or redistribute the app
- remove or change copyright notices in the app or on this website
- reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it despite this restriction
- use Sarmad to break any law
Health and safety
Sarmad is for relaxing, unwinding, focus and sleep sounds. It is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, and it is not a substitute for advice from a doctor.
- Keep the volume at a comfortable, moderate level, especially with headphones and when listening for long periods.
- Do not use Sarmad to relax or fall asleep while driving or doing anything that needs your full attention.
Ownership
The app, its sound engine, the name Sarmad, the logo, and the content of this website belong to us and are protected by copyright and trademark law. Fonts and open-source components in the app and on this website are used under their own licences, listed in the app’s settings.
Changes and availability
We may update the app, or stop offering it for new purchases. If we do, copies you have already installed keep working as far as Google Play and your device allow.
Disclaimer
We work hard to make Sarmad reliable, but we provide it “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we do not guarantee that it will be free of errors or work on every device, and we make no other warranties, express or implied.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from your use of Sarmad, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app. Some countries do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the courts of Cairo have jurisdiction, unless the consumer protection law of the country where you live gives you the right to bring a claim there.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top of this page, and if a change is significant we will mention it in the release notes on Google Play. Continuing to use Sarmad after a change means you accept the new terms.
